PRISON ISLAND TOUR – History & Giant Tortoises
Your adventure begins with a boat trip from Stone Town to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island. This historical site was once used as a detention place and later became a quarantine station.
Explore the island’s fascinating history while walking through its old buildings and ruins. One of the highlights is meeting the famous giant Aldabra tortoises—some of them over 100 years old! You can feed them, take photos, and learn about their conservation.
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings, crystal-clear waters, and optional swimming or snorkeling near the island.
NAKUPENDA SANDBANK – Tropical Paradise Escape
After exploring Prison Island, continue your journey to Nakupenda Sandbank, a stunning stretch of white sand surrounded by turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
